Trading Firms & Financing
From: Jim G.
I have been looking at the possibility of day-trade firms
and broker/dealers that offer day-trade office facilities
and arrangements whereby financing may be available to
supplement my personal capital base used for trading.
In other words, the organization may retain say x% of
trading profits that I may make in return for providing me
with capital to facilitate trading activity. Naturally there
would be stop-loss measures and/or security deposit features
in place to insulate the firm from risk.
I am also curious of the firms reputations
and how to locate these opportunities.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
I would be happy to give you some advice, but I can help
you better if you tell me a couple of things.
1. What firms are you looking at?
2. Please detail your trading experience (and be honest!)
including as many details as you can about gains, losses,
money management etc...so that I can determine the risk you
may be taking on by going forward with them.
Follow-up To Question -

Thanks for getting back to me. I have really just started
searching for firms that might provide the kind of trading
arrangement that I spoke of alluding to obtaining capital
in return for retaining a percentage of profits. I have
briefly surfed the web and have found but one possible
firm to date, daytrading.net - although they do not provide
much detail on their sight.
